About Creative Media Marketing

Stacey Miyamoto founded Creative Media Marketing (CMM) in 1995 with a specialty in beauty companies, products and services.  At the time, her unique approach was to reach consumers through breakthrough branding and educational campaigns using media relations as the vehicle to increasing sales and awareness for her clients like Murad, Aveda and the French pharmaceutical giant, Pierre Fabre.

Prior to launching her own company, Stacey worked for the third largest PR firm in the world delivering media results for such high profile companies as PepsiCo, Mazda, The Hanes Corporation and the NBC Olympics.  She also worked at a smaller agency where she garnered food and beverage experience on such brands as Cointreau, Domaine Chandon and K.C. Masterpiece BBQ Sauce.  She also worked in-house at beauty companies including Redken Laboratories.

Throughout her career, Stacey imagined opening her own company with a goal of eliminating the waste and bureaucracy she saw at so many other agencies. At the same time, she wanted to leverage her big brand experience with the creativity, client service and eye for detail of a boutique agency.  The culmination of that dream is Creative Media Marketing.

In launching the company, Ms. Miyamoto wanted to set the agency apart.  So, she set about recruiting staff with big brand experience but with a keen understanding of client needs; she implemented weekly status reports to be able to monitor results and assure client each was getting the attention they deserve on a weekly basis.

She also wanted to create media campaigns that generated a call to action;  campaigns that would help meet and exceed marketing/sales goals vs. just getting a mention in a magazine or on TV.  So, she instated a regional retailer support programs to help products sell through at the local level.  She also created a division that would offer trade show support to help reach the all important customer; and, she developed specialized media teams to ensure that every media opportunity is optimized and that nothing fell through the cracks.

As a result of the agency’s unique team structure and focus on client service, CMM takes pride in the longevity of its accounts and the fact that many of the agency’s clients – including L’Oreal, Henkel, Newell Rubbermaid, Valeant Pharmaceuticals and Hain Celestial -- have expanded their account based with CMM from one brand to multiple brands because of our good work, stellar results and proactive client attention.

Today, the company that started in Los Angeles is now headquartered in New York’s trendy Soho district with a satellite office in Los Angeles.
